Holistic Therapy for Individuals and Couples in California
Hi, I’m Sherry Kalish, LMFT
I work with individuals and couples, helping them to feel empowered, build healthy relationships, and to live authentically.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in San Diego, California. I am passionate about helping people better connect to themselves and within their relationships.
If you’ve found your way here, there’s a good chance you’re carrying something heavy, or quietly longing for things to feel different. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Perhaps you’re navigating changes in relationships, identity, parenthood, or simply questioning who you are and what you need right now. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to have it all figured out.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, breathe, and feel less alone.
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that feeling safe is essential for healing and growth. When you feel emotionally safe, you can begin to show up more honestly—with yourself and in your relationships. Many people come to therapy wanting deeper connection, clarity, or relief, yet feel unsure how to begin or worry about being judged or misunderstood. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace, without pressure to perform or “fix” yourself.
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. This includes relationships with romantic partners, family members, and friends, as well as the evolving relationship you have with yourself. Often, the pain we experience in relationships comes from unmet needs, unspoken feelings, or patterns that developed long before we realized they were there. Over time, resentment, distance, or misunderstanding can quietly build. Together, we work to gently uncover what’s beneath these patterns and create space for greater understanding, communication, and connection.
My work is relational, holistic, and collaborative. I see therapy as a partnership, one where we work together to make sense of your experiences, identify what’s getting in the way, and build tools that support your emotional well-being and daily life. I aim to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and confident as you navigate stress, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and the many demands placed on you.
Therapy is not just about managing symptoms; it’s about helping you feel more connected—to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to be living. Whether you’re struggling in your relationships, adjusting to a new season of life, or simply feeling disconnected from who you are, therapy can be a place to feel seen, heard, and supported.
You’re invited to explore this space, learn more about my approach, and see if it feels like the right fit for you. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward greater clarity, connection, and emotional ease.
